  • Hours are 37.5hrs paid per week from either 7.30am to 3.30pm or 9am to 5pm

Job Summary

Our client is looking to recruit a full time Control Room Dispatcher to join a fast-growing team based in their offices near Woking, Surrey. Working in conjunction with contract managers, you will provide instruction, guidance and support to enable operatives to fulfil their daily roles and responsibilities.

Job Description

  • Facilitate daily team calls to identify and address any issues relating to the day’s schedules
  • Handle incoming calls from teams and resolve queries
  • Track and monitor teams’ schedules to ensure adhere to business expectations on time and quality
  • Confirm site visits have been carried out and appropriate documentary evidence recorded
  • Redeploy any site visits that cannot be completed by the assigned resource intraday or, where necessary, to the following days. Log exceptions; issues and any site updates to continuously improve control room knowledge of contracts
  • Provide efficient and effective handover to colleagues in the Control Room

Skills and Knowledge Required

  • Ideally have previous experience of scheduling field teams and demanding customer service
  • Ability to problem solve, take charge of a situation and successfully deal with the unexpected
  • Have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Proactive, organised and able to work under pressure in a busy department
  • Computer literate using Microsoft, Excel, Word and Gantt charts
  • A good sense of humour and desire to develop team culture
