Job Description
We are working with our client on a exciting opportunity for an Logistics and Transport Manager to lead the strategic direction of the UK market logistics.
The position will give you the chance to analyse existing operations and identify areas for improvement, putting your own stamp on the role. Being the point of contact for third parties, you will use your excellent communication skills to collaborate and negotiate on contracts, costs and track budgets and forecasts.
You will be working closely with all areas of the business in particular with Sales, Warehouse, Customer Services and the Finance teams ensuring a smooth cost effectively operation.
To be the Ideal Candidate you will:
- Proven experience managing UK distribution networks and 3PL relationships.
- Strong expertise in logistics/transport strategy, network optimisation, and route-to-market planning.
- Excellent analytical and financial management skills, including KPI tracking and budget ownership.
- Demonstrable success in leading operational improvements and transformation projects.
- Strong stakeholder management, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Knowledge of relevant regulatory, safety, and compliance standards.
